'''Rhys Richards''' is a [[New Zealand]] [[historian]] and [[ethnography|ethnographer]] who has written extensively on the history of the Pacific. He has also spoken on these subjects on radio in New Zealand and at many conferences and seminars around the world.
Before retirement, he was a career diplomat in the New Zealand Foreign Service.
