Le Blanc was educated at [[Trinity Hall, Cambridge]], graduating [[Bachelor of Law|LL.B]] in 1795. He was elected Fellow of Trinity-hall in 1800, and [[List of Masters of Trinity Hall, Cambridge|its]] [[Master (college)|Master]] in 1815. He was [[List of Vice-Chancellors of the University of Cambridge|Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge]] from 1824 to 1825.
